Jennifer Nagel, MA, RCC
I have known I would go into the counselling profession since I was quite young as I have always been interested in people and curious about what makes us ‘tick. ’ I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their internal strengths and resources to bring about deep and lasting change in their lives.
I received my B.A. (Honours) in Psychology from Queen’s University, and my M.A. in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families and groups. I believe that change, personal growth, and healing are possible for everyone and that reconnecting to one’s inner resources and strengths lead to transformational change both within one’s self and in their relationships with others. I work collaboratively with my clients, opening them to new possibilities in order to help resolve whatever challenges they are facing. I have extensive training in Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and often teach experiential programs and workshops in Canada, China, and Kenya. I am also trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) as well as expressive therapies such as art, play and sand.
